Mallorca, April 1, 2022. One month before the new edition of the Mallorca 312 Supersapiens (April 30 in Platja de Muro) the Organization of the professional cycling race announces that former professional cyclist Ivan Basso will be the honoree participant wearing the bib number 312.
Ivan Basso: two Giros, the youngest of the Tour who has dozens of victories, is now the Sports Manager of the Eolo Kometa team and this year will wear the number that gives name to this legendary cycling event that runs through Mallorca. He will ride alongside former professional and colleague riders such as Alberto Contador, Joseba Beloki, Miguel Indurain and Pedro Horrillo.
The Italian has dedicated a video to all the Mallorca 312 participants and cycling enthusiasts that the Organization has shared on their social networks.
Basso refers to the Mallorca 312 as ” one of the most beautiful amateur events in the world. This is not just a Gran Fondo, it’s an experience of a lifetime to pedal and coexist. Those who manage to finish the race gain a memorable amazing satisfaction”. Basso is delighted as he returns to Mallorca three years after his last participation “but this year is special since they are paying me a tribute”, referring to being honored as he wears the 312 bib number.

Mallorca 312 launches a new website www.mallorca312.com where you can find all the information related to the race quickly and easily. Between now and the day of the event, the Organization updates news and information so participants and companions do not miss any details.
This year’s edition is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 30 in Platja de Muro and 8,000 participants strive to achieve their objectives.
The same configuration is maintained: the three usual routes (312, 225 & 167km), 7 refreshment and food posts, included jersey with registration and an amazing cycling atmosphere. As always, participants choose which distance they wish to ride when they register, however, this is only tentative since they may choose to change the route during the race.
