Mallorca, March 29, 2023. With only one month left for the Mallorca 312 OK Mobility (April 29 in Platja de Muro) the Organization of the race announces that professional ex-cyclist Vincenzo Nibali will be the honored participant wearing the number 312 bib along the roads of the island.
The Italian professional ex-cyclist Vincenzo Nibali ‘lo Squalo’ winner of the Tour de France in 2014, the Giro d’Italia in 2013 and the Vuelta of Spain in 2010, will wear the number that gives its name to the legendary cycling event scheduled in Mallorca. Accompanying him will be 8,000 participants and professional ex-cyclists who are scheduled to repeat again such as Pedro Horrillo, Oscar Pereiro, Joseba Beloki, Oscar Freire, Sean Kelly, Alberto Contador and Ivan Basso. Andre Greipel will be joining this event for the first time in the Mallorca 312.
Nibali has announced that he will participate with his team and encourages all Mallorca 312 cyclists to start pedaling now to get ready because “the shark awaits them all at the starting line”. It will also be interesting, how on the day of the presentation of the race (Friday, April 28), Nibali will be given his bib number by the Italian Ivan Basso, allowing him to head the peloton in this edition.
